Kirkland Litigator To Serve As Counsel For Chicago

Law360, New York (May 18, 2011, 5:46 PM EDT) -- Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Monday selected a seasoned Kirkland & Ellis LLP litigator with a background in antitrust and product liability matters to serve as corporation counsel for his administration.

Steve Patton, the former chair of Kirkland’s client development and litigation management committees, will step in as Chicago’s top lawyer, overseeing the office that represents the city in legal matters, Emanuel’s office said.
