Judge Taps Mediator In Fight Over Tropicana Collapse

Law360, New York (May 18, 2011, 4:02 PM EDT) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge appointed a mediator Tuesday in hopes of resolving a dispute between the former owner of Tropicana LLC and the legion of debtors who claim the ex-CEO's gross mismanagement drove the casino empire into the ground.

Collins J. Seitz Jr. of Seitz Ross Aronstam & Moritz LLP will oversee the nonbinding negotiations between the debtors and William J. Yung III, the former hotel and casino kingpin. Seitz will also try to hammer out separate administrative and priority claims left in Tropicana's completed bankruptcy...
