MTV Star's Family Feud Fuels Trademark 'Situation'

Law360, New York (May 19, 2011, 4:51 PM EDT) -- "Jersey Shore" star Michael Sorrentino accused his father in Florida on Monday of infringing his trademarked nickname, "The Situation,” and competing unfairly on a website allegedly designed to promote a tell-all book about his son.

The federal trademark infringement suit targets Frank Sorrentino, who calls himself "The Confrontation" on the site, and Robert M. Fletcher, whose Strategic Book Publishing and Rights Agency announced plans to sell print and digital publishing rights to "Confrontation With Situation" in March.
