Acme Contests Scope Of Furniture Dumping Decision

Law360, New York (May 20, 2011, 5:14 PM EDT) -- Acme Furniture Industry Inc. lodged a complaint in the U.S. Court of International Trade on Thursday challenging the U.S. Department of Commerce's ruling that daybeds it imports from China are subject to an anti-dumping order on wooden bedroom furniture.

The complaint argues that Acme's upholstered daybed with trundle is outside the scope of the anti-dumping order on wooden bedroom furniture from China, contrary to Commerce's findings.

The anti-dumping order went into effect in January 2005, and was upheld in December at a 7.4 percent duty rate...
