Kraft Hits Rival With Suit Over Dressing Bottle IP

Law360, New York (May 20, 2011, 12:22 PM EDT) -- Kraft Foods Global Inc. hit Van Law Food Products Inc. with a patent, trade dress and unfair competition suit in New York on Tuesday, alleging that Van Law is selling salad dressing bottles that are confusingly similar to those used by Kraft.

According to the suit, Kraft holds six design patents and a trademark for the so-called Big K bottle design, which has concave sides decorated with curling lines.
