Detergent Patent Dispute Gets Second Chance

Law360 (May 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court panel has granted German consumer goods conglomerate Henkel Corp. a victory in its patent dispute with U.S. rival Procter & Gamble Co. over dishwashing detergent tablets.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled Friday that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences erred when it ruled in favor of Procter & Gamble’s patent.
