Balli Told To Cough Up Rest Of $15M Iran Export Fine

Law360, New York (May 23, 2011, 4:08 PM EDT) -- The U.S. ordered Balli Group PLC on Thursday to pay by early June the remaining $7.2 million of its $15 million fine for illegally exporting commercial aircraft to Iran, after the company was late in paying its most recent installment.

The British company and its subsidiary Balli Aviation Ltd. agreed to the fine along with a $2 million criminal penalty in early 2010 in order to resolve accusations that the company conspired to export three Boeing 747s from the U.S. to Iran without the necessary export...
