Hess Sued Under Fair Credit Reporting Act

Law360, New York (May 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Hess Corp. has violated federal law and exposed customers to potential identity theft by including too much information on receipts issued to customers who buy gas with credit cards at Hess’ filling stations, according to a proposed class action filed Friday.

The lawsuit names Hess Corp. as the sole defendant and invokes the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
