Holland & Knight Defied Protective Order, Insurer Says

Law360, New York (May 24, 2011, 1:47 PM EDT) -- Indemnity Insurance Corp. of D.C. asked an Illinois federal court Monday to block Holland & Knight LLP from representing an insurance rival in a disparagement suit, saying the firm violated a protective order and disclosed Indemnity's sensitive financial information.

Indemnity, the defendant in the current suit, faces allegations that it broke a settlement agreement with rival Axiom Insurance Managers Agency LLC by disparaging Axiom's underwriting practices to Axiom's new business partner, Liberty Mutual Group.
