Geico Denies Adjustors' Claims In Wage Suits

Law360 (May 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Insurance company Geico has filed its defense against a growing number of wage-and-hour suits by auto claims adjusters, arguing the employees were exempt from overtime wages under federal law.

In answer to three proposed class actions filed in New Jersey’s district court, the company denied allegations it dumped an unmanageable caseload on its assessors and paid for just half the weekly hours worked.
