Ill. Insurance Agent Ducks Contract Claims Arbitration

Law360, New York (May 24, 2011, 6:58 PM EDT) -- Insurance agent First Class Group Inc. got the green light Tuesday to move forward with its Illinois state lawsuit accusing Praetorian Insurance Co. of failing to cough up commission payments allegedly due under the companies’ profit-sharing agreements.

Judge Joan E. Powell granted the plaintiff’s motion for reconsideration of her January order that stayed the case pending arbitration proceedings that First Class and Praetorian are undergoing in New York.
