Ambit Accused Of Fraud, Bias In $1B Suit

Law360, New York (May 24, 2011, 8:56 PM EDT) -- A consultant for Ambit Energy LP filed a $1.1 billion lawsuit against the energy company Monday in New York federal court, alleging it broke her contract and illegally discriminated against her.

Dallas-based Ambit, an alternative energy provider that bills itself as the fastest-growing private company in the U.S., markets itself using a large network of consultants who are paid to sign up new customers and recruit other marketers like them.
