Sharp's Trademark Suit Over Dell Monitors Moves On

Law360, New York (May 25, 2011, 6:31 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Wednesday denied motions for summary judgment by both parties in a trademark infringement and unfair competition suit brought by Sharp Corp. over Dell Inc.'s UltraSharp computer monitors.

According to Sharp's complaint, filed in 2008, Dell applied for a trademark on the word "UltraSharp" for use on computer monitors in 2001 and has used the name in commerce since 2002.
