Universal Drops Copyright Claim Against YouTube

Law360, New York (May 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Universal Music Group has rescinded a request to have an allegedly infringing podcast removed from video sharing Web site YouTube.

The podcast blasted hip hop artist Akon for allegedly groping and sexually molesting a teenage girl. In the podcast, nationally syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin showed video of Universal artist Akon simulating sex on a woman invited onstage, as well as clips of Akon music videos.
