P&G Settles Diaper Rash Action

Law360, New York (May 31, 2011, 6:10 PM EDT) -- Procter & Gamble Co. on Friday settled a consolidated class action in Ohio federal court alleging certain Pampers diapers cause rashes, blisters and chemical burns.

Under the proposed agreement, P&G will reimplement for one year a money-back guarantee program for consumers who bought its Swaddlers and Cruisers diapers with Dry Max, a technology meant to enhance the core of the diapers. The consumer giant will also put more information on the products and fund several programs related to pediatric skin health.
