Ex-Waste Management Accountant Settles With SEC

Law360, New York (May 31, 2011, 3:05 PM EDT) -- A former Waste Management Inc. executive settled with securities regulators in Texas on Friday after an appeals court overturned a ruling against him in a suit alleging that he helped perpetrate one of the largest corporate frauds in U.S. history.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission asked a Texas federal judge to approve a settlement with Bruce E. Snyder that bars the garbage removal company's former chief accounting officer from violating federal securities laws.
