Judge Splits Chevron's $18B Amazon Pollution Fight

Law360, New York (June 1, 2011, 1:40 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge decided Tuesday to split off Chevron Corp.'s claim that an Ecuadorean court's $18 billion judgment against it for alleged pollution is unenforceable, after earlier deciding to merely bifurcate the claim for expedited discovery and trial.
