Merck Files Second Suit Against Teva Over Singulair

Law360 (May 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Not content to bring just one suit against Teva Pharmaceuticals USA over a generic version of asthma and allergy medication Singulair, Merck & Co. Inc. let a Barbados-based subsidiary file a second patent suit against the Israeli generics maker on Monday.

The second lawsuit, also in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, comes just over a month after Merck filed the first one. It charges Teva with the same claim of violating the Singulair patent by filing an Abbreviated New Drug Application...
