SEC Wins Access To Market Timer's Bank Info

Law360, New York (June 2, 2011, 5:01 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in New York on Tuesday ordered attorneys representing a former CIBC World Markets Corp. trader to turn over their client’s financial information to regulators who are seeking to enforce a $1 million market timing settlement.

The court granted the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s bid to force Michael Sassano’s attorneys from Harris Cutler & Houghteling LLP to comply with a subpoena and provide information about their client’s bank accounts.
