Texas Jury Awards $7M Verdict To Worldwide Express

Law360, New York (June 3, 2011, 5:58 PM EDT) -- A Texas jury on Thursday awarded Dallas-based Worldwide Express Operations LLC a $7.12 million verdict in a suit accusing DHL Express (USA) Inc. of breaching a shipping contract and attempting to poach Worldwide Express customers.

The jury found that DHL had fraudulently induced Worldwide Express to amend an existing agreement between the companies in order to allow DHL to terminate the contract without cause.
