Supreme Court Won't Hear Wesley Snipes' Tax Appeal

Law360, New York (June 6, 2011, 4:50 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday denied a petition for writ of certiorari filed by actor Wesley Snipes, dealing a fatal blow to his crusade to overturn the tax conviction that landed him in prison.

Snipes, who was found guilty in February 2008 of willful failure to file a tax return, had been hoping for a reprieve from the high court after being turned away in lower courts as he continued to fight the verdict.
