Office Depot Settles Colo. AG's Overbilling Claims

Law360, New York (June 6, 2011, 3:33 PM EDT) -- Colorado Attorney General John Suthers announced Monday that Office Depot Inc. has agreed to hand over $412,000 to settle allegations that it overbilled nearly 115 Colorado governmental agencies and nonprofits for office supplies for more than three years.

In return, Suthers promised not to sue Office Depot for allegedly placing agencies and nonprofits on a higher-cost price plan without their knowledge or without informing them that the plan would cost more, unless the office supply chain violates the settlement.
