Vienna Beef Sues Ex-Employee Over Hot Dog Recipe

Law360, New York (June 6, 2011, 8:06 PM EDT) -- Vienna Beef Ltd. filed a trademark and unfair competition suit in Illinois on Monday, alleging a former employee violated a severance agreement by claiming his current company's hot dogs were made with Vienna's secret century-old recipe.

Vienna's suit targets Scott D. Ladany, the grandson of one of Vienna's founders, and Red Hot Chicago Inc., which he founded in 1986, three years after ending his employment with Vienna.
