Tyco, Verity Sued Over ID Technology Patent

Law360, New York (June 7, 2011, 5:52 PM EDT) -- Tyco International Ltd. and Verity Technologies Private Ltd. were hit with a lawsuit Monday in Texas claiming they infringed two patents covering biometric devices used for fingerprint and identification card authentication in alarm systems and retail transactions.

Random Biometrics LLC sued Verity, which is based in India, and Tyco International Ltd. of Switzerland, along with two Tyco affiliates, Tyco International (US) Inc. of California and CEM Systems Ltd. of Northern Ireland.
