MoFo Sues Funai To Recover $11M In Unpaid Bills

Law360, New York (June 7, 2011, 5:32 PM EDT) -- Morrison & Foerster LLP filed a contract suit against one-time client Funai Corp. on Friday in California, claiming the electronics maker failed to pay almost $11 million for MoFo's work on a patent suit before the U.S. International Trade Commission.

The complaint's roots are in a 2008 patent suit MoFo worked on behalf of Osaka, Japan-based Funai, which sells televisions and other electronics in North America under the brands Symphonic, Sylvania and Emerson. Funai won the ITC case — related to TV technology patents — but...
