American Apparel Loses Bid To Combine Harassment Suits

Law360, New York (June 7, 2011, 6:14 PM EDT) -- A California state judge refused on Friday to link two sexual harassment suits brought by former employees against American Apparel Inc. and its CEO Dov Charney, even though both cases involve two of the same plaintiffs.

Judge Malcolm Mackey concluded that the two cases did not qualify as related under the Los Angeles court's rules and would proceed separately. The order did not provide further explanation.
