Nuclear Plant Worker Admits Falsifying Records

Law360, New York (June 8, 2011, 7:09 PM EDT) -- A subcontractor working on a $2.5 billion nuclear reactor construction project in Tennessee pled guilty Wednesday to falsifying 200 inspection and measurement reports, prosecutors said.

Matthew Correll, 31, of Hixson, Tenn., falsified work records at the Tennessee Valley Authority Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

In August, Correll completed TVA forms that allegedly stated micrometer readings of cables that powered equipment, including safety equipment, inside the containment structure at Unit 2 of the Watts Bar plant, according to the DOJ. Correll...
