Former Royal Ahold Exec Gets Seven Years

Law360, New York (May 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The former marketing chief of U.S. Foodservice Inc. was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison in connection with an $800 million accounting scheme that exaggerated the unit’s earnings.

Judge Thomas P. Griesa of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York also sentenced Mark Kaiser to two years of supervised release after he gets out of prison and ordered him to pay a $50,000 fine.
