Alleged NSA Leaker Strikes Plea With Feds

Law360, New York (June 10, 2011, 12:37 PM EDT) -- A former National Security Agency official pled guilty in Maryland on Friday to violating computer security regulations in a deal over allegations that he leaked information to the press about purported waste in the development of a government digital information gathering system.

Prosecutors asked a federal judge the same day to dismiss their indictment against Thomas Andrews Drake at sentencing, saying he had copped to one count of intentionally exceeding the authorized access of an agency computer pursuant to the plea agreement he signed on Thursday....
