Fed. Circ. Affirms Standley Malpractice Suit Dismissal

Law360, New York (June 10, 2011, 3:38 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Friday upheld a lower court's toss of JS Products Inc.’s malpractice case against Standley Law Group LLP over an alleged failure to properly advise the company about whether its flashlights infringed a competitor’s patents.

The appeals court affirmed the district court's dismissal of the case in a nonprecedential per curiam opinion. The court did not provide its reasons for backing the district court's decision to nix the suit.
