AshBritt Asks Court To Toss $3M Katrina Cleanup Suit

Law360, New York (June 10, 2011, 5:47 PM EDT) -- AshBritt Inc. on Friday asked a Florida federal judge to toss a $3 million suit accusing it of breaking an agreement to give subcontractor JGT Inc. a cut of a government contract to clean up debris left by Hurricane Katrina.

JGT has no proof for its claim that AshBritt promised it the exclusive rights to handle certain disposal activity, AshBritt said in a motion to dismiss.
