Apple Seeks To Jump In Licensor's App Patent Fight

Law360, Los Angeles (June 10, 2011, 7:35 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. on Thursday sought to intervene in an 11-day-old Texas lawsuit brought by licensor Lodsys LLC against seven iPhone application developers Lodsys accuses of patent infringement.

Apple’s rapid move to intervene in a suit that generated consternation among iPhone programmers signals a muscular effort to protect its third-party software developers and the substantial stream of revenue they send to the computer giant.
