EBay Loses Bid To Move Electronic Payment IP Suit

Law360, New York (June 13, 2011, 5:32 PM EDT) -- EBay Inc. will have to fight a patent infringement case involving electronic payment methods in Delaware after a federal judge on Friday denied the company's request to transfer the suit to Northern California.

U.S. District Judge Sue L. Robinson denied the motion to transfer because eBay and its co-defendants — PayPal Inc., Bill Me Later Inc., Shopping.com Inc. and StubHub Inc. — were all incorporated in Delaware. She said that the defendants “have no reason to complain” about being sued there.
