Feds Target PG&E Over Calif. Gas Explosion

Law360, New York (June 13, 2011, 9:03 PM EDT) -- Pacific Gas & Electric Co. on Monday announced that the U.S. Department of Justice and prosecutors in California were launching a criminal investigation into the utility over a deadly natural gas pipeline explosion in San Bruno, Calif.

PG&E said in a regulatory filing that it received notice on June 9 that the DOJ, the California Attorney General's Office and the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office had created a task force to investigate the Sept. 9 blast that killed eight people and destroyed nearly 40 homes...
