Netflix Wants Blockbuster To Produce Documents

Law360, New York (May 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Netflix Inc. on Friday opposed rival Blockbuster Inc.’s motion to protect certain communications with lawyers about the invalidity of Netflix’s patents, in the ongoing patent battle between the two movie rental services.

Netflix argued that it needed the documents to more accurately assess Blockbuster’s claims that two Netflix patents relating to its popular “wish list” and “no late fees” features are invalid.
