Ex-Madoff Manager Settles SEC Fraud Case

Law360, New York (June 14, 2011, 5:20 PM EDT) -- Bernard L. Madoff’s former payroll manager settled a fraud suit with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in New York federal court on Monday, days after pleading guilty in a related criminal action for his role in Madoff's Ponzi scheme.

Eric S. Lipkin, the former payroll manager of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, entered a partial consent judgment barring him from violating the securities laws and accepting the court’s future assessment of disgorgement and civil penalties for his alleged role in the $65 billion fraud....
