DOJ OKs Google's $900M Bid For Nortel Patents

Law360, New York (June 14, 2011, 8:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has reportedly given Google Inc. the green light for its $900 million bid to buy bankrupt Nortel Networks Inc.'s 6,000 patent portfolio.

The DOJ concluded after an antitrust review that the stalking horse bid would not create any major anticompetitive concerns in the tech industry, according to a report published Tuesday by the Wall Street Journal.
