Insurers Remove, Deny $7.7M Stucco Damage Claims

Law360, New York (June 16, 2011, 2:07 PM EDT) -- Insurers who refused to settle homeowner policy claims over defective stucco — and now face a proposed class action over a related $7.7 million jury verdict — removed the case to South Carolina federal court Tuesday, denying they owe damages.

Named plaintiff Mark F. Teseniar, a resident of Twelve Oaks at Fenwick Plantation, brought suit May 16 in Charleston County court against National Fire & Marine Insurance Co., Admiral Insurance Co. and Essex Insurance Co.
