3rd Circ. Says Viacom Age Bias Claims Too Old

Law360, Los Angeles (June 16, 2011, 8:37 PM EDT) -- The Third Circuit on Thursday threw out three multiplaintiff lawsuits brought by former Viacom Inc. employees who accused the company of terminating them because of their age, ruling that the actions had been brought too late and there were no grounds for tolling the deadline.

“The district court granted Viacom’s motions for summary judgment, and we will affirm the judgments of the district court,” Circuit Judge Thomas Vanaskie wrote in the unanimous decision by a three-judge panel.
