US Correctly Reinstated Steel Duties: Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (June 17, 2011, 8:37 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit said in a precedential ruling Friday that the U.S. Department of Commerce was right to reinstate anti-dumping duties on a Thai steel company's hot rolled coil without performing a new investigation after the duty order had been partially revoked in 2006.

A three-judge panel denied Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Co. Ltd.'s appeal of a U.S. Court of International Trade decision that determined the International Trade Administration acted legally when it reinstated the duties after a change of circumstances review.
