Supreme Court To Hear Futures Case

Law360, New York (May 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case that will determine whether brokers can bring suits against the exchanges on which they trade.

The Supreme Court said on Monday it would hear the case filed by Klein & Co. Futures Inc. against the former chairman of the New York Futures Exchange and the Board of Trade of the City of New York. At issue in the case is whether a futures broker can sue an exchange for failing to uphold its own rules....
