Investors Go After Profits From LaSalle Ponzi Scheme

Law360, New York (June 17, 2011, 4:26 PM EDT) -- A group of investors who lost millions in LaSalle International Clearing Corp.'s alleged Ponzi scheme launched a clawback class action in Florida on Thursday seeking to force those who profited from the fraud to return their ill-gotten gains.

Piggybacking off a complaint filed in 2009 by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the plaintiffs allege the defendants — more than 20 individuals, D&E Communications Inc. and others — profited from LaSalle's scheme to solicit funds from customers who thought they were investing in foreign currency exchange...
