DC Whistleblower's Retaliation Suit Survives Dismissal Bid

Law360, New York (June 17, 2011, 7:00 PM EDT) -- A federal judge refused Friday to dismiss a suit brought by a former District of Columbia employee who claims his superiors retaliated against him for speaking out about pressure to rubber-stamp fraudulent and wasteful government contracts.

Named plaintiff Ramesh Sharma, who previously worked in the D.C. Office of Contracting and Procurement, says that his office approved contracts without proper bidding and evaluation procedures.
