Judge Dismisses Fraud Charges Against CA Inc.

Law360, New York (May 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has dismissed the criminal charges filed against software maker CA Inc. in the wake of an accounting scandal, as mandated by a deferred prosecution agreement CA reached with the U.S. Attorney’s office.

On Monday, Judge Leo I. Glasser of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York eliminated all charges pending against CA, after an independent examiner issued a report stating that the company had fulfilled the terms of the agreement reached with federal prosecutors.
