Wilson Sonsini Booted From Antivirus Patent Suit

Law360, New York (June 23, 2011, 12:49 PM EDT) -- A Delaware federal judge on Wednesday disqualified Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC from defending Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. in a lawsuit accusing the company of infringing Intellectual Ventures I LLC's antivirus software patents.

U.S. District Judge Leonard P. Stark granted Intellectual Ventures' motion to disqualify the firm from serving as counsel for Israel-based Check Point and its U.S. arm, though details on the ruling were not immediately available.
