FTC To Subpoena Google In Antitrust Probe: Report

Law360, Los Angeles (June 23, 2011, 9:17 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Federal Trade Commission on Thursday was reportedly days away from serving Google Inc. with civil subpoenas in an antitrust probe of Google's search advertising business.

Such a move, which the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, would mark a dramatic escalation of the federal government’s investigation into the core business of a tech giant that handles two-thirds of all searches on the Internet and generated $29 billion in revenue last year.
