Med Trends Fights $40M OSHA Contract Award

Law360, New York (June 24, 2011, 7:45 PM EDT) -- Med Trends Inc., a small business owned by a service-disabled veteran, filed a bid protest Friday over a $39.8 million U.S. Department of Labor contract for technical support awarded to competitor MicroTech.

Rockville, Md.-based Med Trends' protest in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims alleges the contract award violated the Federal Acquisition Regulation because Med Trends had bid millions of dollars less than Vienna, Va.-based MicroTech, which is also a certified service-disabled veteran-owned small business.
