Princess Diana Fund, Franklin Mint Settle Trademark Dispute

Law360, New York (November 11, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Princess Diana’s charity fund and memorabilia maker Franklin Mint have settled a trademark and right-of-publicity dispute that threatened to shut down the charity.

The out-of-court settlement between the fund and the memorabilia maker will allow the fund to resume making donations to charity.

Although the details of the agreement remain confidential, the fund said it had pledged $25 million toward “jointly agreed grants over a five-year period to significant causes.”
