Roche Files 3 Patent Suits Over Generic Xeloda

Law360, New York (June 28, 2011, 7:31 PM EDT) -- Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. sued Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. on Friday in an effort to protect the market for the cancer drug Xeloda, marking the third patent suit over Xeloda that Roche filed in New Jersey federal court last week.

Roche's most recent complaint, which named India-based Intas as well as its subsidiary Accord Healthcare Inc. as defendants, was triggered by Accord's efforts to win approval for generic Xeloda.
