Motorola's Jury Request Denied In Adelphia Dispute

Law360 (May 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge ruled Tuesday that Motorola Inc. is not entitled to a jury trial in its ongoing dispute with Adelphia Communications Corp.

Although the former cable television provider emerged from bankruptcy in February, its suit against Motorola remains in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Following a request from Adelphia, Judge Robert E. Gerber denied Motorola’s request for a jury trial in the adversary action and ordered the motion struck from the record.
